Job Description (Day-to-Day)

1. Research & Customer Insight
  • Deep-Dive Analysis: You will conduct competitor research and consumer analysis to understand exactly who the customer is.
  • Psychology & Strategy: You will uncover the "why" behind customer behavior—their pain points, desires, and motivations—and translate that into marketing angles.
2. Creative Concepting & Scripting
  • Concept Creation: You will be responsible for generating concepts and variations that grab attention immediately.
  • Scriptwriting: You will write the actual ad scripts (hooks, bodies, and CTAs) based on your strategy.
  • The "Green Light": You will have ownership of the briefing process and provide the final approval on creatives to ensure they match your vision.
3. Performance Strategy & Iteration
  • Feedback Loop: Once ads are live, you will analyze their performance.
  • Optimization: You will decide what needs to change. If an ad is working, how do we scale it? If it's not, what variation do we test next? You are in charge of the strategy for the next round of creative.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

1. Solid Marketing Knowledge (Essential)
  • Educational Background: A degree or qualification in Marketing (or a related field) is essential. You must understand the mechanics of marketing.
2. Strong Copywriting & Communication Skills
  • Writing Ability: You must have previous experience in copywriting (social media, ads, emails, etc.). You know how to use words to persuade and sell.
  • Clarity: You can articulate complex ideas clearly, both in your ad copy and when briefing the team.
3. Analytical & Detail-Oriented
  • Attention to Detail: This role involves reviewing creative work and data patterns; a sharp eye for detail is non-negotiable.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: You are comfortable looking at performance results and using that data to make logical decisions for your next creative move.
4. The "Big Plus" (Optional but Highly Valued)
  • Performance Marketing Experience: While not mandatory, having a background in Digital Marketing—specifically Performance Marketing—is a massive advantage. If you have experience with paid social (Facebook/TikTok ads) and understand metrics like CTR, CPA, or ROAS, you will be a standout candidate.

Compensation

We know that finding a true "Creative Strategist" in Sri Lanka is rare. Because of this, we have structured our compensation to be flexible based on your actual skill level and experience.

LKR 150,000 - LKR 600,000+ per month

We are putting this range out there to be transparent: 150k is where we get started if you don't have much experience, but we are ready to pay significantly more for the right person. If you have the experience, the portfolio, and the strategic mindset we are looking for, we will match your value.
